Frequently Asked Questions

Which sisal grades do you supply?

3L (long line fibre), UG (undergrade) and SSUG (sweepings/secondary) — plus sisal tow on request. Grade is confirmed by inspection before shipment.

How is sisal packed?

Hydraulically pressed bales of approximately 250 kg, strapped and container-loaded. A 40-foot container typically takes around 100 bales.

What are the main uses of your sisal?

Rope and twine, agricultural baler twine, carpets and rugs, geotextiles, buffing cloth, and increasingly natural-fibre composites.

Is Tanzanian sisal sustainably produced?

Sisal is a rain-fed, low-input crop and its fibre is fully biodegradable. We work with established estates that maintain replanting programmes.
